The Telford & Wrekin Energy Programme helps local businesses cut costs, save energy, and reduce carbon emissions. Through a free expert energy assessment, you’ll gain a clear picture of your current energy usage and practical advice on how to improve efficiency. You can also take the first step towards a long-term energy strategy with a tailored carbon reduction plan.

From cafés to manufacturing sites, the programme supports a wide range of SMEs with tailored guidance to:

  • Lower energy bills
  • Improve operational performance and resilience
  • Enhance sustainability and long-term profitability

Eligibility

Businesses must:

  • Operate within Telford and Wrekin
  • Be a small/medium-sized enterprise (SME), sole trader, or partnership
  • Be trading for more than 12 months
  • Be incorporated under the Companies Act and registered on Companies House
  • Be below the Subsidy Control threshold of £315,000 over the past 3 years (including the value of support)
  • Be consuming under 25,000 kWh

Sectors not eligible for support include:

  • Primary agriculture
  • Schools
  • Public sector funded organisations (except parish or town councils)
