The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a government-allocated fund managed by local authorities in partnership with local stakeholders. It has been put in place to replace funds previously provided by Europe and aims to reduce inequalities between communities.

The overarching objective of the fund is to build pride in place and increase life chances. The programme includes 3 investment priorities:

  • People and Skills
  • Supporting Local Business
  • Community and Place

Capital grants from £2,000 to £10,000 for small and medium- sized businesses (1 – 49 employees) to purchase new equipment or make premises improvements that will create new jobs, or develop new products, processes or services.

Applications open on 12 May 2025.
