Cyber Essentials

edit

The severity of the cyber risk facing the UK has grown significantly. Specifically, 1 in 2 UK small businesses suffered a cyber attack last year – yet research shows small businesses believe they won’t be targeted due to their size and scale.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) need to act now to protect themselves.

The national Cyber Resilience campaign by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) aims to raise the resilience of UK small and medium enterprises to cyber attacks.

Phase 1 of the campaign will increase awareness and adoption of Cyber Essentials, a government certification scheme from the experts at the NCSC. It is the proven minimum standard for organisational cyber security recommended by the UK government and is designed for organisations of any size and in any sector to improve their cyber resilience.
