Skills matter – and that’s why we want to hear from you

What’s the best way to make sure we are giving our youngsters the best chance of success when they set out into the world of work?

One great starting point is to make sure they are equipped with all the skills they need to build a brilliant career.

And to do that, we have to know just what skills employers are looking for from the next generation.

That’s why we are supporting this survey – and urging as many of you as possible to take a few minutes to complete it.

For organisations such as the Marches Careers Hub, employer insight is the backbone of effective skills planning.

We work closely with schools, colleges, training providers and employers to make sure young people are developing the skills that local industries actually need.

But we can only do that well when employers tell us:

  • Where recruitment pressures are emerging
  • Which skills are in short supply
  • What future roles and technologies are on the horizon
  • Where training isn’t keeping pace with industry demand

With your help we can align careers education, curriculum planning and employer engagement to build a stronger, more resilient talent pipeline for the Marches.

So, whether you’re facing recruitment challenges, planning for growth or spotting new skills needs in your sector, your insight will help shape the support available to employers and the workforce of tomorrow.

It takes only a few minutes to have your say and your input will make a real difference to how our region responds to skills gaps and future workforce demands.

We look forward to hearing from you.
