A new business advice service has launched to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Telford & Wrekin take the next steps towards growth and success.
The Invest Telford extended team of consultants is offering one-to-one support to trading SME businesses focusing on providing practical support to increase business resilience and drive productivity improvements.
The comprehensive support covers a wide range of business needs, including strategic planning, financial planning with accountancy services and access to alternative finance options. Digital support is available to help businesses establish their online presence and implement new systems, while sales and marketing experts can assist with reaching new customers and markets, improving sales effectiveness, and diversifying products or services.
The service also offers guidance on clean growth and moving towards net zero, innovation development, and the adoption of new processes and systems.
Eligible Telford & Wrekin businesses can access up to 12 hours of fully funded support by completing an application form, after which a member of the team will make contact.
To qualify, businesses must be SMEs operating in the Telford & Wrekin Council area, have been trading for a minimum of six months and have an identified issue or barrier to growth.

This support has been made possible through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The fund provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025, aiming to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in communities, supporting local businesses and people, and creating new skills.
