Access to Finance for Defence and Security Businesses

Access to Finance for Defence and Security Businesses

Defence and national security does not function without private capital. This session looks at how the private sector is mobilising to deploy capital and how businesses can access it.

The Defence Industrial Policy highlighted the growing role of private capital across the defence and national security sector. Investors and lenders have historically been cautious about the sector, which raises important questions for businesses looking for growth finance.

The session will explore:

  • how companies can access finance and investment
  • what investors and lenders are looking for
  • how businesses can position themselves as attractive investment opportunities
  • new funding products and options coming to market
  • what it means to become investment ready.

The West Midlands Regional Defence and Security Cluster (WM RDSC) can help connect businesses with willing lenders and investors. This is the last of three regional events designed to encourage informed debate and practical discussion about access to finance for defence and security businesses.

Places are limited. Priority will be given to defence and security SMEs and organisations in the wider supply chain operating in the Hereford area. Once capacity is reached registration will close and a reserve list will open. Further details will be sent with your confirmation email.

The event takes place at the NMITE Centre for Innovation and Skills, Blackfriars Street, Hereford HR4 9HS. Find out more and register.
