Businesses urged to sign up for Green Advantage Programme

Published: August 24th, 2026

Businesses across the region are being urged to sign up for a new programme which helps them embed sustainability in their organisation.

The Green Advantage Programme, delivered by Aston University, gets under way for a fresh season on September 7.

The expert‑led course gives business leaders the clarity, confidence and practical tools they need to develop sustainability and unlock long‑term growth in the process.

Green Advantage combines structured learning with personalised support. It includes:

  • Eight expert‑led workshops covering the fundamentals of sustainability, the circular economy, energy efficiency and carbon management and long‑term planning
  • Peer networking, connecting you with like‑minded organisations who are also on their sustainability journey
  • One‑to‑one coaching, helping you apply what you’ve learned directly to your organisation
  • Tailored support to develop your Sustainability Roadmap, giving you a clear plan for the next 5 – 10 years of sustainable business growth.

Businesses taking part in Green Advantage gain a launchpad for long‑term growth, supported by a clear Sustainability Roadmap, stronger investment and contract potential, inspiration and momentum and build valuable connections with Aston University’s Sustainable Growth Hub, Aston Professional, and partners including Sustainability West Midlands.

Green Advantage has already supported organisations across more than 42 sectors and industries, demonstrating just how universal the sustainability challenge has become.

Some of those to have taken part previously include Mars UK, Handelsbanken, National Grid, West Midlands Fire Service, Mills & Reeve and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The usual programme fees are £2,950 for large organisations (more than 249 employees) and £1,265 for SMEs (249 employees or fewer) and third‑sector organisations.

However, full cost bursaries are available for the September 2026 cohort, giving eligible businesses the chance to secure a fully funded place.
