Keeping Herefordshire & Worcestershire Working: Why Workforce Health Matters

Businesses across Herefordshire & Worcestershire are being invited to the ‘Keep Herefordshire & Worcestershire Working’ conference to learn more about the workplace wellbeing support available.

The UK labour market is rapidly changing with more than a fifth of working‑age adults now out of work due to long‑term health conditions and employers are feeling the impact through shrinking talent pools, increased competition for skills and growing strain on existing teams.

Therefore for employers, workforce health has become a critical business priority to keep their employees happy, healthy and motivated.

To help employers understand both the national direction and the extensive local support available, NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire Integrated Care Board is working with the Worcestershire Growth Hub, Herefordshire Growth Hub and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, to host the Keep Herefordshire and Worcestershire Working Conference on Wednesday 8 July in Malvern at The Abbey Hotel in Malvern.

This event will bring together experts, partners and employers from across both counties to explore the national Keep Britain Working agenda and highlight the extensive local support available to help businesses build healthier, more resilient teams. From early‑intervention programmes like WorkWell, to leadership initiatives and local Public Health support, organisations across the two counties can access practical tools to reduce avoidable absence, improve wellbeing and strengthen workforce stability.

The conference will also feature workshop sessions where attendees can learn practical tips and advice around workplace wellbeing topics to take away into their organisations.

Whether you’re a HR professional, manager or workforce strategist, this is a valuable opportunity to understand about the support available and how investing in employee health can boost business performance, recruitment and retention.
