Businesses in and around Leominster can now access free advice, support and workspace in the heart of the town, following the official launch of the new Herefordshire Growth Hub’s Business Hub at Leominster Library.
The Leominster Business Hub was formally launched on 2 February at an event attended by the Leader of Herefordshire Council, Councillor Jonathan Lester, and representatives from the local business community.
The hub offers businesses the opportunity to speak directly with a Growth Hub Officer, access guidance on grants and finance, and use practical facilities including meeting rooms, co-working space, hot-desking and high-speed Wi-Fi, at either low or no cost.
Appointments can be booked in advance, with drop-in support also available during the week and on Saturday mornings.
The Business Hub is part of Herefordshire Council’s wider approach to supporting local economic growth and helps connect local businesses directly to the wider Herefordshire Growth Hub network, providing access to specialist guidance and support.
Leader of Herefordshire Council, Councillor Jonathan Lester, said:
“Business owners want support that’s easy to access and helps with the practical realities of running a business. By bringing the Business Hub to the heart of Leominster, we are making that support more visible, more accessible and part of the everyday life of the town centre.
“The new Business Hub is designed around local need, and we want businesses themselves to help shape how the service develops. This is about more than advice and guidance — it’s about building a supportive business community that helps Leominster and Herefordshire thrive.”
While chair of Herefordshire Growth Board, Adrian Speller, who attended the opening event, added:
“We have been looking for some time at how we can support market towns and support businesses in wider Herefordshire. So to see the opening of this facility, that can really help to drive business growth is fantastic.”
A Growth Hub officer will be available for drop-in support at the Leominster Business Hub (located upstairs in Leominster Library) on Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm. Businesses are also welcome to use the room as a drop-in workspace during library opening hours on those days.
If businesses would like to book the room privately—for example for an interview or confidential meeting—they should email business@herefordshire.gov.uk at least one week in advance. On other days, workspace and tables are available for public use, along with printing facilities.
