Care Leavers Covenant

Care Leavers Covenant

Telford & Wrekin Council is inviting local businesses and organisations to the Care Leavers Covenant event this September — a chance to be part of something truly impactful.

The Care Leaver Covenant is an initiative that unites businesses and organisations with the Council to support young people as they reach adulthood and leave our care. The covenant can provide young people with support on managing their finances, accessing employment, and training opportunities, finding accommodation, as well as advice on health, wellbeing, and relationships. By signing up to the covenant, your organisation could become part of a young person’s broader support network.

We encourage creative contributions… whether that be work or training opportunities or something else! For example, the National Trust has held several archaeological digs for our young people, and Lovell has provided furniture from show homes to support young people moving into their first home. There are so many different ways that you can make a big difference.

If you want to find out more, please sign up and come along! Join us to discover how you can contribute and make a positive difference to the experiences and prospects of our young people leaving care and learn more about what this could mean for your business or organisation.
